Installation: Place all files in a subdirectory called Unforgiven in your Quake directory, ie c:\quake\unforgiven. Start the game (Quake engine of choice).exe -game unforgiven +map unfstart. You probably want to use a larger heapsize. Custom engine required: FitzQuake, Quakespasm, RMQEngine, Darkplaces, etc. You know the drill. For this file and support see www.quaddicted.com, www.celephais.net/board, or email djg164@mail.usask.ca Description: Long in development (more off than on), this 3-map episode was originally started as a sequel to 2001's Rapture, although it is probably more remniscent of 2008's Soul of Evil Indian Summer. The episode includes a cool start map by RPG. I'd reccommend picking easy or normal. Hard's very very difficult and nightmare's for coop or if you are crazy. Note that the maps are designed so that you can play any of them from scratch (they all include all weapons). This is deliberate, as I think these are some of my most replayable maps ever, especially the last one. Custom items and etc are included, the most important of which are: Crossbow: Uses ice bolts, which are very rare. Functions like a railgun, the projectile goes right through enemies. Amulet of Reflection: Defensive artifact that reflects projectiles away from you. Magic Wand: Infinite ammo, this weapon charges up. When the ammo bar is at four you get a more powerful shot which knocks monsters back. Chainsaw: Useful for killing zombies and in general. Boots: Hold the jump key to fly with this item. Regeneration: You slowly regain health, up to 100 health.
